Purpose:
The Council is responsible for establishing guidelines and making recommendations regarding reimbursement from the fund to entities providing EMT testing and training activities. It makes recommendations for changes in EMT testing or training activities or creates new programs to conform with federal standards or to improve the quality of EMS delivery. It also establishes guidelines for purchasing EMS training equipment and developing recommendations for the most effective means to recruit EMS volunteers.
