plate. Proceeds from the sale of these license plates, and the
annual renewal fee, support crucial cancer research projects
right here in New Jersey through the New Jersey Commission on
Cancer Research.
Conquer Cancer license plates can be purchased at any time during
the registration cycle and cost $50 (over $40 goes to cancer
research), with a $10 renewal fee (all of the renewal
fee supports cancer research). These plates can be purchased
at any DMV office or through the mail by calling 1-888-486-3339
for an application.

Remember, Early Detection is Your Best Defense
so be sure your doctor examines you for skin cancer, colon
and rectal cancer, breast cancer (if you are a woman) and
prostate cancer (if you are a man) as part of your regular
physical check-up.
If you are a woman, practice monthly breast self-examination
and have a mammogram every year after age 40. In addition,
all women should have a yearly Pap test to screen for cervical
cancer. If you are a man, practice monthly testicular self-examination
and after age 50 have a yearly prostate cancer screening
examination by a doctor - including a rectal exam (DRE)
and a prostate specific antigen (PSA) blood test. If you are
African-American or in a high-risk group for prostate cancer,
start your yearly prostate cancer screenings at age 40.
A new specialty license plate to benefit cancer research in
New Jersey is available through the NJ Division of Motor Vehicles.
Proceeds go directly to fund cancer research projects throughout
the state. Spread a message of hope while supporting crucial
research right here in New Jersey.
