- The CHS Search is restricted to all HTML documents
(Web text pages) and PDF files 2M or smaller in the /health/chs/
address and associated subdirectories.
- Large or scanned Adobe Acrobat PDF documents
are excluded from this search.
- Documents for other agencies in the Department
of Health and Senior Services can be searched using the "Search
All DHSS" link on this page.
- Search word(s)
- Type one or more KEY words.
- Do not use questions, phrases or extraneous
words. Every word entered is considered a KEY word. For example,
to find the statistics for diabetes in Hudson County, the
search should be "diabetes hudson", not "What statistical
reports are available for diabetes in Hudson County?" or "diabetes
and Hudson".
- Key words will be 'expanded' to include forms
of the word. For example, the key word TICK will be expanded
to TICKS and TICKED.
- Match
If you type more than one search word, select the way in which
matches are determined.
- All search words must be in the document:
All the search words must be in a single document to be listed
as a match. They do not have to be next to each other.
- One or more search words can be in the
document: Any combination of the search words can be present
to be considered a match. For the search words "diabetes Hudson,"
selecting "One or more search words can be in the document"
will list documents with "diabetes" and documents with "Hudson".
Selecting "All search words must be in the document" will
restrict the search results to just those documents that contain
both "diabetes" and "Hudson."
- Results format
- Document Details: The hyperlinked
document title, four lines of text from the page, the URL,
file date and file size will be displayed for each document
found.
- Document Title Only: The hyperlinked
document title only will be displayed.
- Sort results by
- Score: The more stars, the better
probability the document meets the search interests.
- Title: Documents are listed alphabetically
by title.
