Child Weight Survey

Childhood Weight Status, New Jersey, 2003-2004

DHSS and New Jersey Department of Education (DOE) collaborated on a survey to establish a baseline estimate of weight status of school age children in order to guide state policy, program planning and evaluation. This study analyzed 2,393 sixth grade records from 40 randomly selected public schools from varying socio-economic strata.
