I would like to welcome you to the State of New Jersey’s Epilepsy website. In 2010 Senator Fred Madden proposed a bill to establish an Epilepsy Task Force. Public testimony was presented in May 2010 at the State House and the bill was passed; thus, bringing the Epilepsy Task Force to fruition. I, as well as the other members of the Task Force, are honored to be the voice of those dealing with Epilepsy in their lives. Through Public testimony and questionnaires, as well as, expertise of those serving on the Task Force, recommendations will be made to Governor Chris Christie proposing legislation based on our findings. Once our final report is accepted, it will be available on this site for your viewing.
We hope that you will find this website to be an invaluable resource for your needs. Collectively, we compiled information which we felt would best aide in your search for programs, legislation and resources within the State of New Jersey. I personally would like to wish you well on your journey and, as a mother of a child with Epilepsy, my thoughts are with you. My voice will be yours as I serve on the State Of New Jersey Epilepsy Task Force and I feel privileged for this opportunity.
Shelby A. Myers
