Information for Food Manufacturers

NOTICE:
The next review date for additional food items shall occur after the submission deadline of January 31st, 2014.

Information Required for Food Product Review.

  1. Types and sizes of all product package containers.
  2. Include copies of the Nutrition Facts panels.
  3. Copies of or actual package flats or labels for the product.
  4. Universal Product Code (UPC).
  5. Ingredients of the product, listed in decreasing order of predominance by weight.
  6. Include written verification that the product meets Federal WIC requirements. For example, Is the juice 100% fruit/vegetable juice? What is the Vitamin C fortification level in milligrams per 100 milliliters?
  7. At the time of review, each food item must be available statewide.
  8. List of New Jersey stores’ distribution of the product.
  9. Average/suggested retail prices for the product per container size.
  10. New food product information submission dates:
      January 1 to 31, 2014.
