The reported absenteeism rate among school students was 6.22%, which was down from 8.31% last week. This number is different from what was reported last week due to additional reports received for last week.

The reported influenza-like illness rate among nursing home residents was 2.10%, which was down from 2.59% last week. This number is different from what was reported last week due to additional reports received for last week.
Reports were received from 54 hospital emergency departments from the following counties: Atlantic (4), Bergen (4), Camden (4), Cape May (1), Cumberland (3), Essex (1), Gloucester (1), Hudson (8), Hunterdon (1), Mercer (3), Middlesex (2), Monmouth (4), Morris (2), Ocean (3), Passaic (2), Salem (2), Somerset (1), Sussex (2), Union (5) and Warren (1).
The reported influenza-like illness rate among Emergency Department patients
was 8.06%, which was down from 9.50% last week. This number is different from
what was reported last week due to additional reports received for last week.
There have been four isolates of influenza A virus reported in New Jersey so
far this season, one from McGuire Air Force Base from a resident of Mercer County,
and the remainder from Hackensack University Medical Center from residents of
Bergen County (New Milford, Hackensack and Elmwood Park).
