- The advancement of knowledge relating to public health, sanitary and environmental sciences.
- Consideration of public health problems and improvement in public health administration in New Jersey.
- Promotion of uniformity in public health procedures and in laws and ordinances relating to public health.
- Encouragement of personal and group contacts between allied Health professions and agencies in New Jersey.
- The protection of the rights of health officers and other public health personnel.

An association representing health officials of county health departments.
New Jersey Local Boards of Health Association
The Association provides local boards of health with a mechanism for communicating with each other and for accessing information and training that might improve their ability to lead their communities toward improved health.

The mission of the Association is to advance and support the cause of public health in New Jersey.
New Jersey Environmental Health Association
The mission of the Association is to support the professional growth of environmental health specialists, provide a unified and informed voice in the development of public health practice and policy, and enhance the ability of members to aptly promote environmental and public health locally, regionally and globally.
New Jersey Society for Public Health Education
A professional organization of health educators, whose purpose is to promote, encourage, and contribute to the advancement of the health of all people through education by encouraging study, improving practices, and elevating standards in the field of public health education.
New Jersey Association of Public Health Nurse Administrators
The mission of the Association is to promote, protect and preserve the public's health through
the exchange of ideas among Public Health Nurse Managers and other public health professionals.
