Trenton - On Monday, April 19 Health and Senior Services Commissioner Alaigh and Motor Vehicle Commission Acting Chief Administrator Martinez will highlight April as “Donate A Life Month” and urge residents to become organ and tissue donors. 

Commissioner Alaigh and Administrator Martinez will be joined by the New Jersey Sharing Network and a donor recipient.

This event will be held at the Motor Vehicle Commission Regional Service Center at 120 South Stockton Street & Front Street, Trenton at 11 am.

As part of “Donate A Life Month,” the NJ Sharing Network is reaching out to diverse communities and encouraging organ donor registration.   At the present time 53 percent of organ recipients are minorities, but only 15 percent of the minority population are donors.
