On Monday, January 11, Department of Health and Senior Services Deputy Commissioner Dr. Susan Walsh will receive the H1N1 influenza vaccine to encourage New Jersey residents to get vaccinated against H1N1 influenza and to highlight National Influenza Vaccination Week.

Dr. Walsh, a Maplewood resident, will participate in a Maplewood Township flu clinic being held for town employees and public health workers.

This event will be held at 11a.m. in the Maplewood Town Hall Conference Room, 574 Valley Street, Maplewood, NJ.

National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW), January 10-16, is a national observance that was established to highlight the importance of continuing influenza vaccination, as well as fostering greater use of flu vaccine after the holiday season into January and beyond.
