VISION

The NJ Department of Health' Office of Minority and Multicultural Health (OMMH) was created in accordance with Public Law 1991, Chapter 401. The Legislation charged the OMMH to reduce and ultimately eliminate racial, ethnic health disparities by fostering equal access to programs that promote, support and enable all populations in New Jersey to achieve optimal health, dignity and independence.

The OMMH vision - Health Equity for All – Is in alignment with the launch of the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) National Partnership for Action Plan (to Reduce disparities) and the National Stakeholder Strategy (for Achieving Health Equity).

The OMMH welcomes the opportunity to join forces with the HHS- OMH as we pledge our support to the elimination of health disparities for all on a State and National level.
