The Eliminating Health Disparities Initiative has lead to New Jersey’s first strategic plan to improve the health of racial and ethnic populations.
These groups lack access to effective health care, have higher rates of illness and death, and suffer more complications from chronic health conditions. The Office of Minority and Multicultural health is leading the effort to reduce New Jersey’s deep, persistent health disparities.
