The New Jersey Division of Aging and Community Services (DACS) administers programs designed to make it easier for seniors to get the help they need to support their well-being and maintain themselves in the community for as long as possible with independence, dignity and choice.

Our Website has been designed with you, the consumer, in mind.

  • Under Getting Answers you will find out whom to contact at the State or in your community to learn about and access senior and caregiver services.

  • Under Staying Healthy you will get information about Medicare options, nutrition, health education and other programs that help you maintain and improve your health.

  • Getting Help at Home details programs that help people in need of long-term care services get help in their home or a community setting rather than in a nursing home.

  • Staying Safe explains how vulnerable adults living at home or in institutions are protected from abuse, neglect and exploitation.

  • If you do not find the information you are looking for here, please call us toll-free at 1-800-792-8820, (or at 609-943-3437 for out-of-state callers). For information on services within your county, call your Aging & Disability Resource Connection toll-free at 1-877-222-3737.
