| Program Description: |
| | The Salem County School to Careers program helps young people realize that postsecondary education is critical to |
| | obtaining high-skill, high-wage employment. The program is open to any students between the ages of 16 and 25 |
| | who lack a high school diploma. Each morning, the program participants attend their local high school or one of the |
| | county's three adult schools. Three afternoons per week, the students attend Salem Community College, earning |
| | college credit in career-specific or career-skills classes. In the summer, they participate in paid-work experiences |
| | that parallel the career pathway they choose at school. |
