| Program Description: |
| | The Summer Institute in Materials Science is a two-week program focused on introducing high school students and |
| | teachers to the impact that materials science and engineering has on the development of new technology. This is |
| | achieved through hands-on experiences with faculty and students using cutting-edge research tools. There are |
| | visits to local high-tech industry as well as seminars by internationally known scholars. |
