| Program Description: |
| | The Rutgers-New Brunswick GEAR UP Partnership is a collaborative initiative between Rutgers Graduate School of |
| | Education and the New Brunswick Public School District. Beginning in the year 2000, this five-year grant is designed |
| | to provide students and their families with early awareness and knowledge of college opportunities, with an |
| | emphasis on academic readiness. The program provides academic preparation and enrichment to students who |
| | attend either Lincoln or Livingston Elementary School in New Brunswick beginning in the 5th grade. The program also |
| | extends services to students who continue their education at the New Brunswick High School. Tutoring and |
