| | The aim of the GEAR UP Newark program is to strengthen and build the capacity of Central High School feeder |
| | schools to improve student academic achievement and increase the number of low-income students who are |
| | prepared for and who will pursue postsecondary education. Strategic activities are targeted at three core groups: |
| | students, parents, and teachers. |
