Program Description:

A joint venture with local public schools, Montclair State University's Future Educators of America Chapter works

with New Jersey Network for Educational Renewal districts to identify promising students and encourage them to

consider teaching careers. The program promotes achievement by supporting high standards, positive self-image,

and leadership at school and in the community. A special feature of the clubs is the emphasis on assisting students in

making a critical transition from high school to college. During meetings, guidance counselors help

students prepare for the SAT and complete college applications. The University sponsors annual

on-campus events for students and their teachers and helps students learn about the teaching profession.
In partnership with Gear Up Newark, The Future Educators of America Club at Montclair State University
