| Program Description: |
| | The Engineering Preparatory Program is a nontraditional five-week program designed to help students overcome their |
| | anxiety about physics and mathematics, the cornerstones of the engineering curriculum. Engineering Prep will help |
| | prepare students to succeed in high school advanced mathematics and physics courses. Through classroom |
| | discussions, lectures, lab experiments, demonstrations, projects and field trips, participants will learn advanced |
| | mathematics, geometry, trigonometry and precalculus/calculus, physics, engineering principles, higher level problem- |
| | solving strategies, computer programming and applications, and written and oral communications. Students will also |
| | receive preparation training for the SAT exam. |
