Program Description:

The Engineering Preparatory Program is a nontraditional five-week program designed to help students overcome their

anxiety about physics and mathematics, the cornerstones of the engineering curriculum. Engineering Prep will help

prepare students to succeed in high school advanced mathematics and physics courses. Through classroom

discussions, lectures, lab experiments, demonstrations, projects and field trips, participants will learn advanced

mathematics, geometry, trigonometry and precalculus/calculus, physics, engineering principles, higher level problem-

solving strategies, computer programming and applications, and written and oral communications. Students will also

receive preparation training for the SAT exam.
