| Program Description: |
| | Hispanic Center of Excellence Gifted and Talented Elementary School Program - This is a weekend academy for |
| | Gifted and Talented Hispanic youth who have expressed an interest in science. The program, jointly sponsored with |
| | the FOCUS Hispanic Community Development Center I Newark, is offered for 20 Saturdays for students in grades 3- |
| | 8. |

| | Hispanic Center of Excellence Summer Youth Program - The program's goal is to support the interest of Hispanic high |
| | school students in science and biomedical careers through exposure to clinical medicine. Academic enrichment |
| | includes leadership workshops, SAT preparation, interviewing techniques, and anatomy instruction. |
| | |
| | Hispanic Center of Excellence InFoMed Program (Pre-college and undergraduate component) - This program |
| | complements existing NJMS summer academic enrichment programs by offering academic year, monthly workshops |
| | for Hispanic high school and undergraduate/graduate level students interested in entering a health profession, |
| | including medicine. Under this program, individual counseling is also provided. |

| | Future American Scientist*Secondary/Teachers (FAS*S/T) program - The program's goal is to expose 9th or 10th |
| | grade students to dissections, optical illusion, biomedical techniques, ethno mathematics, computer-interactive |
| | anatomy studies, career counseling, and skills development. This program is conducted every summer at Rutgers |
| | University, Newark Campus. |
