Program Description:

Explore Careers in Technology and Engineering (EXCITE) is designed to encourage post-seventh-grade students to

learn about careers in technology and engineering. Students participate in a series of laboratory modules in

environmental engineering, aeronautical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering and computer

science.

Students also receive test preparation training for the Grade Eight Proficiency Assessment (GEPA) in language arts,

mathematics, and science through nontraditional, innovative methodologies, techniques and strategies that will help

students become "smarter test takers."

Through classroom work, activities, workshops and field trips, participants will enrich their computer, mathematics,
