Program Description:

Proyecto Science's mission is to identify middle and high school students with an interest and potential for careers in

engineering, science, technology and other mathematics-related areas and to reinforce their pursuit of these fields.

The goals of the program are to develop abstract reasoning and problem solving skills necessary for successful

college studies in mathematics, to acquire hands-on experience in science, mathematics and engineering projects

and to acquire expertise in the use of modern technology and the Internet as instruments for learning. Students

participate in classes and activities related to mathematics, statistics, programming, robotics, engineering, music,

photography, journalism, career awareness seminars and field trips. There is no charge for the students and

several participating school districts provide transportation and lunch for their students.
