Program Description:

The Salem County Robotics Team is affiliated with FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and

Technology), a non-profit organization created to inspire an appreciation of science and technology in young people.

High school students and technical mentors work as a team to design and build a robot that solves a problem using a

common "kit of parts" and a standard set of rules. After building a new robot each winter, the Salem County team

competes in regional and national events sponsored by FIRST. The FIRST Robotics Competitions bring together high
