125th Anniversary Celebrations - Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital

The New Jersey Ballet will perform the Nutcracker Suite and the musical group Party Dolls will perform for patients, staff and family members of Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, Parsippany, in December as part of the hospital’s 125th year anniversary celebration.

The ballet will perform the traditional holiday favorite in the Abell Building Auditorium, Greystone Park Hospital, on Dec. 1, at 6:30 pm.

The Party Dolls, a night-club act, featuring three female vocalists and a back-up band will perform in the Abell Building Auditorium, Greystone Park Hospital, on Dec. 5, 1:30 pm.

These two special presentations are part of a year-long celebration in honor of the 125th anniversary of Greystone Hospital that began on August 17, with an anniversary reception featuring the Greystone Patient Band and a commemorative address by Chief Executive Officer Gregory P. Roberts.

Greystone Hospital admitted its first patients on August 17, 1876. Operated by the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health Services, Greystone provides psychiatric hospital treatment to approximately 550 patients who are residents of Morris, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic and Sussex Counties and is one of six state psychiatric hospitals.
