Regional forums to showcase
benefits of employing people with disabilities
Partnering with Chambers of Commerce and business
organizations across the state, the New Jersey Department of Human
Services, Division of Disability Services (DDS) will hold “People
with Disabilities, the Untapped Resource – a Morning Seminar
for Employers” at three regional forums this
fall. The first will be at the Atlantic City Convention
Center on Friday, October 17. The Central Region forum
will be Friday, October 31 at the Hyatt
Regency, New Brunswick, and the Northern Region forum will
be Friday, November 14 at the Sheraton
Hotel Newark Airport.
These forums are designed to educate employers
about the valuable resource of people with disabilities. Panel members
from federal and state agencies and private corporations will discuss
legal issues, financial benefits, and their personal experiences
in hiring people with disabilities.
Seating is limited to the first 150 registrants
in each region. Priority will be given to employers in the public
and private sector. REGISTRATION is FREE for these
