Save the Children Day set for Hudson County tomorrow

Hudson County Executive and DHS Commissioner to host 5th regional session

Department of Human Services Commissioner Gwendolyn L. Harris and Hudson County Executive Thomas A. DeGise will convene a Save the Children Day to bring together community stakeholders to address the child protection issues facing the state. This event at Casino In the Park, Jersey City, is a meeting of state contracted community providers, advisory groups, grassroots organizations, and a broad array of stakeholders that affect the quality of children and family services in Hudson County. Commissioner Harris and key stakeholders are convening this event in each county/regional area. It is designed to prevent child deaths and support fragile families and is a day of interactive sessions that impart useful information for those eager to strengthen supports for vulnerable children
and families.

DIRECTIONS TO CASINO IN THE PARK, LINCOLN PARK, JERSEY CITY, NJ

FROM NJ TURNPIKE NORTH AND SOUTH:

  • Take NJ Turnpike exit 15E, bear right after toll toward Jersey City
  • Go over 2 bridges and continue straight onto Communipaw Avenue
  • Go past McDonald’s on your right, go to next traffic light, make a left onto Westside Avenue
  • Go to second traffic light, make a left into Lincoln Park
  • Go ¾ of the way around the Fountain and the Casino in the Park is ¼ mile down the road on your left (opposite the lake).

FROM ROUTE 46:

  • Take Route 46 East to Route 3 East
  • Take Rt. 3 East into Routes 1 and 9 South
  • Take Routes 1 and 9 to Duncan Avenue Exit
  • Go to light, first right into Lincoln Park
