HICP is a special program for New Jersey residents with HIV or AIDS. This program allows you to keep your health insurance when you can no longer work or when you can only work part time. If you qualify, HICP will pay the monthly payments (premiums) for your health insurance, including family insurance that covers your spouse and/or children. HIV HOME CARE PROGRAM is a statewide AIDS home and community- based care program that provides services to help you remain in your home with support provided and coordinated by health care professional. To obtain an application or further information on the HIV HOME CARE PROGRAM, and location of providers in your area, phone 609-984-6328.

Funded by grants from the NJ Dept. of Health and Senior Services' Division of AIDS Prevention and Control, these centers provide medical management of persons with HIV and include antiviral therapies, prophylaxis for opportunistic illnesses, monitoring of the immune system using CD4 and viral load testing, and regularly scheduled medical assessments. Case management, health education, referrals, and access to clinical trials are also offered. Patients are billed for services through the center's existing billing system.
