Co-Occurring Treatment Funds
All co-occurring treatment dollars for Division of Addiction Services (DAS) slot funded clients are being moved from the lump sum supplements to a Co-Occurring Fee-For-Service (FFS) Network. DAS anticipates that the Co-Occurring FFS Network will be operational by May 15, 2008.
Please be advised that DAS is extending contracts for co-occurring services that were set to expire on 3/31/08 for an additional three-month period (4/1/08-6/30/08). Funding amounts will be prorated for the three-month extension period based on the current annualized co-occurring funding amount. Agencies that were contracted to receive supplemental co-occurring funding will be receiving a contract modification notice from DAS shortly. Please submit all required documents included in this notice to finalize your contract modification. DAS will continue to implement the transition to a Fee-For-Service Network to provide co-occurring services with an anticipated start date of July 1. Network applications will be mailed to all licensed treatment providers within the next few weeks.
Services in that network will include:
- psychiatric evaluation,
- medication monitoring,
- co-occurring assessment,
- clinical consultation,
- clinical supervision,
- case management and
- individual therapy.
Those agencies that meet the criteria for the Co-Occurring FFS Network will be eligible to provide and bill for these services.
The corresponding Network application and the service descriptions will be distributed shortly. We apologize for the delay but are confident that the new service delivery model will improve access and services for clients with co-occurring disorders.
