Vineland Developmental Center (VDC), founded in 1888,
provides habilitation, behavioral and medical services and supports for women with developmental disabilities. As of December 1, 2010, its census was 400, and the average age of its residents was 54.

VDC is located on 257 acres in the city of Vineland, Cumberland County. Its two campuses, which are slated for consolidation in 2011, encompass a total of 64 major buildings, including 14 residential cottages.

An independent organization, the Parents and Friends Association Community Services (PAFACOM, Inc.), formerly the Vineland Developmental Center Parents and Friends Association (PAFA), operates group homes and supervised apartments for women in the surrounding community in conjunction with VDC. See www.pafacom.org for additional information about PAFACOM.
