Fee for Service Implementation
The New Jersey Division of Developmental Disabilities is moving from a contracted system of care reimbursement to a Medicaid-based fee-for-service (FFS) sytem. The draft Fee for Service Rate Schedule was released on July 18, 2014. At this time, these rates are recommended and have not yet been approved.
The Fee for Service Implementation web page will be updated regularly as the system transition progresses over the coming months. In addition, a dedicated Fee for Service Help Desk has been been put in place for FFS-related questions and comments, at DDD.FeeForService@dhs.state.nj.us.
Services Available in the FFS SystemFor information about the services that will be available through the Medicaid-based FFS system, please review the following documents:

The Rate Setting ProcessThe New Jersey Department of Human Services engaged Myers and Stauffer LC (MSLC) and Johnston Villegas-Grubbs & Associates LLC (JVGA) to develop a standard fee schedule for diability services provided through the new Medicaid-based fee-for-service system.
JVGA began a comprehensive statewide analysis in January, 2013 and released its Final Report and Rate Schedule on July 18, 2014. At this time, the rates are recommended and have not yet been adopted.
