The purpose for the Public Forum is:
To discuss, explore and identify legislative initiatives needed to enable more individuals with disabilities to live independently.
To assess the needs of people with disabilities in their quest for Community Involvement.
To solicit input on the State Plan as mandated by the Rehabilitation Act, Title VII of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 in terms of New Jersey 's Independent Living Services and the network of Centers for Independent Living.
Representatives from the New Jersey Statewide Independent Living Council will be available to provide information on Independent Living services and the network of Centers for Independent Living.
