Sanctions

WFNJ recipients who fail to actively cooperate with the program or participate in work activities as required - without good cause - are sanctioned. This means you get less money.

The first time you are sanctioned, your cash assistance benefits will be reduced for at least one   month. For each additional time you fail to meet the program's requirements, the sanction becomes   greater.

Continued failure to comply will result in the loss of all benefits, and your case will be closed.
