The publications listed below are provided by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and include strategies for promoting mental health. ANXIETY DISORDERS:  A detailed booklet that describes the symptoms, causes and treatments of the major anxiety disorders. It also includes information on getting help and coping. (2007)

GENERALIZED ANXIETY DISORDER:
  An easy-to-read booklet on generalized anxiety disorder that explains what it is, when it starts, how long it lasts, and how to get help. 2007 (rev.)

BIPOLAR DISORDER:   A detailed booklet that describes the symptoms, causes and treatment of Bipolar Disorder. It also includes information on getting help and coping. (2001)

DEPRESSION - WHAT EVERY WOMAN SHOULD KNOW:  A booklet that describes the symptoms of depression and the reasons why women are more likely than men to suffer depression. Date: 2005 (rev.)

DEPRESSION AND MEN:  A brief overview that describes what you need to know about depression in men: how it looks, how it feels, getting help, and getting better.

DEPRESSION AND THE ELDERLY:  A brief overview of the statistics on depression and suicide in older adults, with information on depression treatments and suicide prevention

EATING DISORDERS:

MEDICATIONS:   A detailed booklet that describes the medications for treating mental disorder. It includes a comprehensive list of medications. (2002)
