About the Abbott Preschool Program

The Office of Early Care and Education (OECE) serves as primary liaison between the Department of Educations' Office of Early Childhood Education and the Department of Human Services in coordinating the Abbott Preschool Program across the state.

OECE facilitates the use of licensed community child care centers, including the full inclusion of Head Start centers.

The Abbott Preschool Program is under the auspices of the New Jersey Department of Education's Office of Early Childhood Education .

Licensing of Abbott Preschool Programs is handled by the Department of Children and Families' Office of Licensing .
