Family and Child Early Education Services (FACES): Department of Children and Families, Office of Prevention and Community Partnerships
FACES helps children and families through a variety of services designed to promote healthy development among young children; successful socialization and preparation for academic achievement in school settings; strength and stability within families; and access to area resources, enrichment events and learning activities for adults and/or children.

The New Jersey Professional Development Center for Early Care and Education (NJPDC) promotes and coordinates systems for the educational development of early childhood and primary education, family child care, and afterschool program professionals. The Center advocates for policies and standards that result in high quality care and education for the children and families of New Jersey. DHS funds NJPDC to administer scholarships for teachers in child care programs and for the facilitation of national program accreditation. Both OECE and DFD representatives sit on the Board of NJPDC.
