Dear Friends-
Welcome to the Inaugural Web site.
I invite you to use this web site
to become familiar with all official information regarding
our 2006 Inaugural events.
I am pleased to tell you that
the Inaugural Committee is hard at work planning a series
of events to bring the celebration to our communities
through six celebrations happening around the state.
These events will take place over three evenings from
January 11-13.
The Children's Inaugural on January
15 will provide an informative and entertaining opportunity
for kids to learn more about our state and its governing
process.
On January 16, as the nation honors
the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., we are organizing
a volunteer day of service. We want to show that the
Inaugural is more than a new Governor- it is a celebration
of our state and its people.
Finally, on the morning of the
Inauguration we will begin by gathering for an interfaith
prayer service in Princeton. The official swearing-in
ceremony will be held at the War Memorial on January
17 and will be telecast live on this web site.
I invite you to share this
exciting time and I look forward to serving you as your
Governor.
Very truly yours,
