The Workplace Literacy Program

The WorkPlace Literacy Program is a new program to teach people how to read and speak better, learn math, or gain basic computer skills. We'll even teach you how to use the Internet and get a free e-mail account to help you in your search for work.

This program lets you learn at your own pace, using a computer. An instructor will get you started, and will also help you with the computer if you need it.

Employers tell us they want workers who can read and write English, use the computer, and know basic math. You can learn these skills at the literacy lab, and put yourself in a better position to get a good job.

The workshops are open at least six hours a day, five days a week. Most people attend the workshops for six weeks. To learn more about the Literacy Program, call or visit the One-Stop Career Center near you.
