Veteran's Services

If you served in the U.S. military, you may be eligible for veterans' services and benefits. Our veterans' representatives specialize in assisting former military personnel, and know the particular needs of former service people.

The Local Veterans' Employment Representative (LVER) and the Disabled Veterans' Outreach Program (DVOP) provide a full complement of services to veterans. Our main focus is to help veterans overcome barriers to employment. Veterans receive priority access to job placement, counseling, and training opportunities available through the One-Stop Career Centers. LVER and DVOP staff also help veterans, through a referral system, enroll in apprenticeship or training programs with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs. The staff also participates in local Stand Down programs and job fairs.

Tell your career counselor if you have served in the U.S. military; you may be eligible for a variety of employment and training programs for veterans. These programs are free to veterans of the U.S. military.
