State Board of Professional Engineers
and Land Surveyors
This board licenses and regulates professional engineers and land surveyors in New Jersey. The board also
licenses engineers in training, land surveyors in training and companies offering professional engineering and
land surveying services. The Joint Committee of Architects and Engineers reviews complaints specific to the
Building Design Services Act. The Home Inspector Advisory Committee, which is under the
State Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, licenses home inspectors and regulates the home
inspection profession. Inquiries or complaints about a home inspector should be sent to the Home Inspector
Advisory Committee, P.O. Box 45043, Newark, N.J. 07101. Inquiries or complaints about an engineer, land
surveyor or home inspector should be sent to Mr. Arthur Russo, Executive Director, State Board of Professional
