Notice of Extension of Deadline for Application for Licensure

Take notice that N.J.A.C. 13:44L-2.5(a) provides a deadline of November 17, 2010 for "a person who has passed the certification examination administered by the BRPT prior to May 17, 2010" to apply for a license as a polysomnographic technologist. N.J.A.C. 13:44L-2.5(c) also provides a deadline of November 17, 2010 for "a person who is performing polysomnography but who has not completed the certification examination administered by the BRPT by May 17, 2010" to apply for a temporary license as a polysomnographic technician. These deadlines were established in compliance with N.J.S.A. 45:14G-13. On September 20, 2010 at 42 N.J.R. 2281(a), the State Board of Polysomnography extended the deadline for filing an applicant under N.J.A.C. 13:44L-2.5 to February 10, 2011 due to production delays with the application forms.

Take further notice that, due to additional production delays, the application forms by which those eligible for licensure under N.J.A.C. 13:44L-2.5 were to apply were not available until September 17, 2010. Therefore, in order to provide the full six-month period for such application contemplated under the statute, the State Board of Polysomnography has further extended the deadline for filing an application under N.J.A.C. 13:44L-2.5 to March 17, 2011.
