The Corrections and State Police Section provides
legal counsel and representation to the New Jersey
Department of Corrections, Division of State Police,
Juvenile Justice Commission and Parole Board.
Among other matters, the section's attorneys appear
in State and federal court defending constitutional
challenges to actions of these agencies, including
allegations of excessive force by corrections
officers and State troopers. Section attorneys
also defend appeals by inmates challenging prison
disciplines and parole denials.
