The
Personnel and Community Affairs and Elections
Section provides legal representation and counsel
to the Departments of Personnel (including
the Merit System Board), Community Affairs and
State; the Division of Elections; the Council
on Affordable Housing; the Government Records
Council; and
New Jersey Racing Commission. This representation
includes the administrative enforcement of New
Jersey labor laws and laws governing the safety
of buildings and facilities. A substantial portion
of the section's representation involves defending
court appeals of client agency decisions.
