Troopers Continue the Search for Missing 10-Year-Old Swimmer of the AC Beach

Atlantic City, N.J. - Two New Jersey State Police boats from the Atlantic City Station are continuing the search for 10-year-old Khitan Devine, of Philadelphia, who was reported missing by his sister while swimming in the ocean near Martin Luther King Boulevard last night. His sister was rescued from the water by the Atlantic City Beach Patrol. She was holding onto a jetty. State troopers and rescuers from other agencies continued the search well past dark last night.

This morning, troopers on one boat continued the search using a tow-able side scan sonar unit while another boat with two troopers and a State Police Missing Persons Unit detective is scanning the jetty and shoreline in the area.

Devine was reported missing Sunday evening after 7:00 p.m. Atlantic City Police and the New Jersey State Police are investigating the incident.
