Following the electronic submission of the New Jersey State Police initial application, the application will only be considered complete upon receipt of:
- Your original signed Driver’s Abstract Certification Page provided at the end of the online application, and
- Your Certified 2012 Driver’s Abstract obtained at your expense from the Motor Vehicle Commission or Motor Vehicles Services Office of your state.
Both of these documents must be received, postmarked no later than June 4, 2012. Documents received postmarked after June 4, 2012 will not be processed and you will not advance in the selection process. Only Certified Driver’s Abstracts generated by your respective state government Motor Services provider will be accepted. Any certified Driver’s Abstract obtained from any other provider WILL NOT be accepted.
Instructions will be provided at the end of the online application for submitting your 1) original signed Driver’s Abstract Certification Page and 2) your Certified 2012 Driver’s Abstract to applicants who successfully submit an online application. Applicants are encouraged to obtain their Certified Driver's Abstract as soon as possible; so that, they can adhere to the strict postmarked date of June 4, 2012. The most expedient way for New Jersey applicants to obtain a Certified 2012 Driver’s Abstract is in person at local NJ Motor Vehicle Commission agencies offering walk-in service or at a NJ Motor Vehicle Commission Regional Service Center. A 5 year Certified Driver’s Abstract is sufficient for applicants possessing a New Jersey Driver’s License.
Out of state applicants may want to contact the Motor Vehicle Commission or Motor Vehicles Services Office of their state NOW, to find out the most expedient way to obtain a Certified 2012 Driver's Abstract.
