Emily Grossman, MA, CPRP, NYCPS-P, Founder of Emily Grossman Peer Life Coaching and Training Services and Member of the New Jersey Governor’s Council on Mental Health Stigma, shared her inspiring story on the Passion, Purpose and Possibilities podcast.

Emily shared her experiences with bipolar disorder and, as the title of her new book sums up her successes, how she became Unlocked: From Psych Hospital to Higher Self. In the book, which will be published on October 17, 2023, Emily shares – as the rest of the title promises – 25 Keys to Recovering from Depression, Anxiety or Bipolar Disorder.

“Mental illness does not have to be a death sentence. It can actually be a springboard to one’s higher self. I also look at it as an invitation from one’s higher power and the invitation is: you’re going through this hard time; this is an invitation to get closer to me,” Emily said. “Have I not had a diagnosis, I would not have gone looking for this beautiful, spiritual life that has transformed everything.”
