Up to $20,000 Cash Enlistment Bonuses - Enlistment and reenlistment bonuses are offered to soldiers serving in selective units and/or specific Military Occupation Specialties (MOSs). If you qualify, you may find yourself with a lucrative bonus that can help you buy a car, take a vacation, or YOU CAN put it in a savings account.

Paid Training - NJARNG members are paid four days military pay for drilling two days a month and receive active duty pay during annual training, service school training, and intial active duty training.

USAA Insurance and Banking Services - Members of the Army National Guard are eligible for membership with USAA. YOU CAN get low cost insurance (car and home), Emergency Roadside Assistance, Credit Cards, Mutual Funds, Brokerage Accounts, and other financial services.

Veterans Administration (VA Loan) - YOU CAN purchase or refinance homes and condominiums or YOU CAN repair, alter, or improve your current home or condominium; install weatherization and/or energy-efficient improvements. This benefit will guarantee loans to qualified ARNG soldiers with a competitive interest rate without a down payment.

Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) - TSP is a Federal Government-sponsored retirement savings and investment plan. The TSP offers the same type of savings and tax benefits that many private corporations offer their employees under the "401(k)" plans.

Retirement - YOU CAN retire with the NJARNG after completing 20 qualified years as a drilling member. Your retirement check will be based on your rank or grade and years completed.

Space Available Travel (Space-A Travel) - Allows you to fly free on a military plane anywhere in the U.S., Guam, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, when space is available.

Military Recreational Facilities - Guard members can take advantage of discounted rates for recreation and lodging worldwide. ARNG soldiers are also entitled to use recreational facilities at any U.S. military base.

Servicemens' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) - $400,000 in low cost life insurance coverage to provide your beneficiaries with security and protection. You can have this great plan for only $29 per month deducted from your Guard pay.

Health Benefits - ARNG soldiers who perform 30 days or more of active duty or who perform inactive duty training (IDT or drill) may be eligible for health care and dental care for themselves and their families.

Post or Base Exchanges (PX/BX) and Commissaries - Shopping at these stores will provide you with substantial savings on everything from computers to groceries. Each commissary and exchange offers as much as 25% savings and tax free purchases over commercial stores on products and service available. Commissaries are non-profit organizations restricted to active, reserve, guard or retired members of the armed services and their dependents.

Free Beach Facility - NJARNG members can use our privately owned beach located at SeaGirt, New Jersey. YOU CAN avoid the crowds at public beaches and enjoy summer activities with friends and family.

Free Fishing and Hunting Licenses - NJARNG members are eligible for FREE Fishing, Firearm Hunting, Bow Hunting, and Trapping Licenses.
