Academic Curriculum

The NJ Youth ChalleNGe Academy offers a course of study to include Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, Job Skills, and Life-Coping Skills. After completing the courses, the cadets take the GED test. If they pass the exam they will receive a New Jersey State High School Diploma after completion of the five month residential phase. In 2011, the average cadet achieved a 2.6 grade increase in reading and a 2.9 grade increase in mathematics.

Note: any applicants accepted into the NJ Youth ChalleNGe Academy, who have a documented disability, may apply for GED test accommodations.
