As an integral part of the communities in which they are located, National Guard units have a long tradition of providing support to certain civic and community-based organizations. Equipment leasable from the New Jersey National Guard includes water trailer tanks, for short periods of time. All equipment MUST be insured in the form of a rider for the full replacement value of each item loaned.
To request lease of this items from the National Guard, event organizers should submit a completed DD Form 2536 to the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Domestic Actions Coordinator, 101 Eggert Crossing Road, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648. Please submit the request 60 days prior to the event. Fewer than 30 days' notice greatly reduces the chance that volunteer support will be available.
Any lease of New Jersey National Guard equipment must be reviewed by the U.S. Property and Fiscal Officer for New Jersey as well as the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Domestic Actions Coordinator. Our participation is contingent upon available resources, equipment and current training obligations. Keep in mind that annual training commitments greatly reduce the likelihood that this item will be available for lease during summer months. For approved, supportable events, the event organizer will need to further submit an Agreement for the Loan of U.S. Army Material, DA Form 4881-R, DA Form 4881-6-R and proof of insurance.
The value of the equipment to be insured is as follows:
1 water trailer tank: $ 12,995.00
Call the office of the Domestic Actions Coordinator at (609) 530-7156 for additional information about leasing equipment.
