Proposed Technical / Grammatical Changes to NJAC 5A:6 - Division of Veterans Programs

The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs, Office of the Adjutant General, Major General Glenn K. Rieth, has proposed certain grammatical and technical changes to the chapter governing veterans programs.

The New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans’ Affairs proposes certain grammatical and technical changes to N.J.A.C. 5A:6, pursuant to authority of N.J.S.A. 38A:3-2.2; N.J.S.A. 38A:3-6(o); and N.J.S.A. 38A:3-6(u). Such amendments are intended to avoid confusing current regulations with those that have been superseded and to update pertinent information relating to department matters.

The adoption of these changes is necessary to clarify and identify those particular areas that have been changed for the purpose of directing veterans programs. The change in title of Veterans Loans, Grants and Services (DVLGS) to Division of Veterans Programs (DVP) is in line with all department directives and the chain of command under published guidelines.

The entire notice of proposed changes will be published in the New Jersey Register on December 20, 2004. The public has 60 days in which to comment. Persons wishing to make comments may do so in writing to:
