Governor Elect Corzine To Observe Veterans Day At Doyle Veterans Cemetery

 

 


WHO:       New Jersey Governor Elect Jon Corzine will be the Guest

                  Keynote speaker.   Maj. Gen. Glenn K. Rieth will present the

                  Bronze Star Medal for Valor to Gunners Mate First Class Harry

                  Bataille for his service in World War II.

 

WHAT:    Cemetery Advisory Council will hold a Veterans Day Ceremony

                  honoring New Jersey Veterans who have served in the United

                  States Armed Forces.  A flag retirement ceremony will be held

                  after the Veterans Day Service.

 

WHEN:     Friday, November 11 @ 11 a.m.

WHERE:   Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery

                   350 Providence line Road, Wrightstown

                   Event will be held at the Chapel on the patio

 

      The Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery is the state's only state-operated veterans' cemetery; dedicated in 1986, it is funded jointly by state and federal dollars and is under the management of the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs.  For more information on the cemetery, go to www.state.nj.us/military/cemetery/ index.html.
